‘Grey’ is finally here! E.L. James’ ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ books were such a success that she decided to take the first book, and redo it from Christian’s perspective — and it may surprise you how much he actually has in common with Ana!
We will see you now, Christian Grey. Well, we can imagine you at least. On June 18, Grey hit bookstores and since we pre-ordered, we’re breaking down everything that you can expect to learn in the book. From Christian’s really steamy break down of Anastasia’s virginity — to the sacrifice he almost made.
Christian really hates Ana is a virgin.
“Anger lances through me. What can I do with a virgin? I glare at her as fury surges through my body.”
Christian almost went vanilla.
Yes really, when she leaves him, he contemplates it! “Could I? Could I have a vanilla relationship with Anastasia? F–k. Possibly. If I could, would she want me back?”
That copy of Tess of the D’Ubervilles was actually Christian’s — he didn’t order it special for Ana.
Alright, it’s still amazing that he gave her the book, but in FIfty Shades, Ana was upste that he must have paid a fortune on the book. Yes, he probably did, but it was actually part of his own collection in his own library. (His assistant went and found a replacement.)
Christian hated Kate way more than we thought.
We could tell he wasn’t exactly a fan but apparently he’s really not into her. At one point he thinks, What kind of friend is she? And yes, there’s a lot of curse words involved.
Christian is not at all as confident as he looks.
Ok, he obviously has some insecurities but the amount of questioning Mr. Grey is doing in his head is surprising. We weren’t expecting the Does she like me? thoughts coming from this side, but it’s a pleasant surprise.
Are you going to read Grey?
