People are always asking me what products are worth the splurge and where they should save. There’s one thing that’s totally fine to buy at the drugstore — find out what it is below!
If you only have 45 seconds to get ready in the morning, an eyelash curler and mascara will get you the most bang for your buck — literally and figuratively! Long, dark lashes are flirty, sexy and make you instantly look more awake! Just look at selfie queen Kim Kardashian! Get some top drugstore mascara picks from an expert makeup artist below.
Celebrity makeup artist Carmindy, (who was the makeup artist on What Not To Wear), has an amazing series on her Instagram where she offers a quick beauty tip every day. On June 3, she told her followers: “Beauty tip of the day: Save your money by buying your mascaras at a drugstore. You have to replace them every 3 months so you might as well save money and the formulas are fantastic!”
In the video, she’s holding two mascaras — Revlon Grow Luscious Mascara and Maybelline’s Great Lash Mascara, a long time cult favorite. Replacing mascaras every three months is very important to limit infections and bacteria from spreading. Your eyes are super sensitive! Buying a mascara that costs under $10 will make the process less painful.
