Ryan Murphy has wow’d us with his storylines for years and with ‘American Horror Story: Hotel,’ it’s no different. He just revealed which actors will be involved in a love triangle with Lady Gaga’s character, and well, it’s amazing.
It seems like every day, Ryan Murphy announces a new addition to the American Horror Story family and Hotel may just be the hottest ever. We haven’t heart much about which role Lady Gaga will be playing, but many have assumed (and hoped) that Matt Bomer would play her love interest. Because, come on — it’s Matt Bomer. However, on June 17, the writer of the show announced a new character — and revealed that things about to get all tangled up at the hotel.
“Finn Wittrock is checking into HOTEL. Who will Gaga choose — Finn or Matt Bomer? #AHSHotel,” Ryan tweeted. Ahh, of course we were hoping that Finn would return after he made his AHS debut on Freak Show as the amazingly-creepy villain. But a love triangle with him, Gaga and Matt? Yes. Please.
Of course, we know nothing about Finn, Matt or Gaga’s characters, but we do know that Matt and Finn worked together briefly before — you know, Finn’s character Dandy killed Matt’s character Andy last season on Freak Show. So knowing they’ll be competing once again most likely means someone will end up dead. Ever since the news that Matt was cast was announced at Paley Fest, viewers have been wondering desperately about what his storyline would be.
I know that I’ll be working with Stefani [Germanotta], Lady Gaga, pretty extensively, so I’m excited about that,” Matt previously told MTV. “Our storyline is really, really fun, and I think what they’re doing with our characters is really unique and kind of an original take on it.” He also teased it at Paley, saying that he couldn’t “confirm or deny” that they’d be romantically involved.Well we can confirm this is going to be one. hot. love triangle.
Finn is just one of many alumni joining this season, in addition to Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, Evan Peters, Angela Bassett, Chloe Sevigny and Wes Bentley. Plus, we’ll have another fresh new face in Max Greenfield. Are you excited?
