Imitation is the best form of flattery — and our girl, Taylor Swift knows it! Instead of getting mad at Madonna for copping her star-studded ‘Bad Blood’ blueprint for a new music video, Miss Swift actually feels quite honored!
Many young pop stars credit Madonna, 56, as their main source of inspiration, but now the “Material Girl” herself is taking cues from those who were born before her — like Taylor Swift, 25! After releasing her epic music video for “Bad Blood” (dripping in celeb cameos), Madge has taken T. Swift’s very same idea by hiring her own famous friends to star in the upcoming clip for “Bitch, I’m Madonna.” A source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY why Taylor is thrilled Madonna is following her footsteps!
“Taylor can’t wait to see the video, she’s the biggest Madonna fan,” a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “It’s surreal to her to have all these people talking about how Madonna could be doing her own version of ‘Bad Blood.’ She can’t get over it!”

While Taylor’s video included a cast made of the 25-year-old’s personal besties (including Selena Gomez, Gigi Hadid, Karlie Kloss and more), Madonna’s soon-to-be-released “Bitch I’m Madonna” masterpiece boasts even more star power with appearances from Beyonce, Katy Perry, Nicki Minaj, Miley Cyrus, and Rita Ora. Whoa!
Regardless, Taylor isn’t worried about any kind of competition. “Madonna is an idol to her,” our insider continues of the 56-year-old’s copy-catting. “She thinks she’s beyond amazing so it’s totally a ‘pinch me’ moment!”
Luckily, Taylor doesn’t view Madonna’s latest move as a threat. But that might change if the music maven happens to beat the pop-country powerhouse’s record for most VEVO views in 24 hours for a video. Taylor received that achievement after she debuted “Bad Blood” for the first time at the Billboard Music Awards on May 24.
With stars as major as Queen Bey and Tay-Tay’s nemesis KP in her corner, we have a feeling Madonna just might be able to surpass Swiftie’s stats. “Bitch I’m Madonna” hits the web tomorrow, on June 17 — so we will soon find out. Either way, we’re just glad Taylor’s able to digest Madonna’s paralleling in a positive way!
