So cute! During Game 5 of the NBA Finals, the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Golden State Warriors faced off in an intense head-to-head battle, but it was the final three minutes between Warrior Guard Stephen Curry’s mom and wife that caught everyone’s attention.
Stephen Curry, 27, is having quite the season! Whether Stephen is setting the NBA single-seasons 3-point record, to his hilarious daughter Riley Curry frequenting his post game interviews, we can’t seem to stop talking about the NBA star. Thus, Stephen’s career is no doubt on FIREEE. With three minutes left during Game 5 on June 14, Stephen locked in a three-pointer making the crowd go wild, including his wife Ayesha Curry and mom Sonya Curry. Watch the adorable video here!
Game 5 took place at the Oracle Arena in Oakland where the two teams were tied 2-2 prior to the big game. Near the end of Sunday’s game, Stephen solidified the win after securing the three-pointer putting the Warrior’s at a 10- point lead with only three minutes remaining. This lead fueled the energy in the arena, getting Ayesha and Sonya off their seats dancing and cheering. We love how supportive their family is of Stephen! Ayesha opened up about her adorable family revealing, “Family matters! Our children matter! At the end of the day, when all the lights dim, and the cameras are gone, we are still here as his biggest, loudest, and most supportive cheerleaders.”
With a famous father like Stephen, Ayesha feels it’s best to continue to maintain a sense of normalcy into Riley’s life as much as possible. “I feel that the biggest thing you can do, as a parent, is to engage. You can never be too busy for your child,” she explained to Time.com. “There should always be time for a bedtime story, impromptu playtime, or a quick game of hide-and-seek—or “find me,” as Riley calls it. These moments with your child should never get pushed to the bottom of the list. In these moments we set the foundation for the kind of relationship we want to have with our children as they grow.”
