Following in the footsteps of his daddy, Prince George, 1, is definitely a people person. Sitting firmly on Prince William’s hip, George confidently waved to the crowd below the Buckingham Palace balcony, who were gathered for the Trooping of the Colour parade in honor of Queen Elizabeth’s 89th birthday. We may be celebrating the Queen, but the moment was all about Prince George!
We just can’t get enough of Prince George! The young lad once again proved he’s the star of the royal show at the Queen’s birthday parade, also known as the Trooping of the Colour celebration. As he was held in daddy’s arms, surrounded by the Queen, mom Kate Middleton, 33, Prince Harry, 30, and more, George cheerfully waved to the crowd.
The entire royal family stepped out onto the Buckingham Palace balcony to for the event marking the Queen’s official birthday, which was technically on April 21. This was also the first public appearance for Kate since the birth of Princess Charlotte. However, as always, Prince George managed to adorably steal all the spotlight.
Prince George wore a blue outfit with cream lace, the same outfit Prince William wore for his first balcony appearance in 1984, according to PEOPLE. So cute! While he watched the ceremony from a window in Buckingham Palace, little George could be seen wagging his tongue and waving to the crowd yet again. This kid is just too adorable for words!

It didn’t take long! When Princess Charlotte’s first royal portrait was released, Prince George was right there beside the new royal.
