Rapper YG was allegedly shot three times in the hip during a horrifying attack at a recording studio in Los Angeles on June 12, a new report claims. Somehow, the 25-year-old managed to get to his car, following the 1:45 a.m. incident, and a friend rushed him to the hospital.
The rapper’s injuries were not life-threatening, TMZ claims, but when police tried to interview him at the hospital, he was “very uncooperative.”
Cops found multiple shell casings and blood on the sidewalk, when they arrived on the scene, TMZ further claims. But no further details have been revealed.
YG’s rep tells the site that the rapper is “doing fine.” Unfortunately, the shooter is still on the loose.
YG released his debut studio album, My Krazy Life, in 2014. He “earned a lot of acclaim for the LP,” according to Rolling Stone, and in December, he created the 30-minute short film Blame It on the Streets. He also teamed up with Drake for “Who Do You Love?” Watch the music video above.
Our thoughts go out to YG during this difficult time. We hope he recovers quickly and the shooter is found.
