Tongues were wagging on June 11, when it was revealed that Nick Jonas and Olivia Culpo were both staying in New York City, but in different parts of town. Did they break up? HollywoodLife.com has EXCLUSIVELY learned the truth.
Nick Jonas, 22, and his girlfriend of two years, Olivia Culpo, 22, ignited breakup rumors when they weren’t completely joined at the hip during a recent trip to New York. Nick was spotted lunching with friends in the West Village, while Olivia stayed in Manhattan. So what gives? Here’s what we know!
Thankfully, Nick and Olivia are very much still together. “They are not broken up at all. They are actually totally fine and very happy together — they just so happen to both be very busy right now, not unlike many high profile couples in Hollywood,” a source tells Hollywoodlife.com EXCLUSIVELY.
“Their extremely busy schedules found them both in NYC at the same time, but their trips only briefly overlapped at the last minute and their days were already jam-packed. Nick is in New York promoting his new film and he stopped to get a bite to eat in between a long day of television appearances,” our source shared.
It was work conflicts, and not a breakup, that kept them apart. “Olivia’s schedule was filled from morning to night and her room even doubled as a location for a shoot — it was mainly a place she was working out of, filled with people coming in and out. It was never meant to be a romantic trip to NYC together,” our source further revealed.
“People will find something to say about anything, but the simple fact is that yes, they are still happily together, but they also both happen to be extremely busy with their careers — and they totally support each other’s endeavors.” Nick’s career has never been hotter. Coming off the huge success of “Jealous,” he’ll soon be starring in Fox’s hot new series, Scream Queens.
Once things slow down for the extremely busy pair, there’s one thing they have to look forward to — spending quality time together when they’re back in Los Angeles, which is where they reside. So no breakup here. Just a young, beautiful, successful and very much in love couple! And we couldn’t be happier for them.
