Keeping the memory alive! After the heartbreaking death of MTV’s ‘The Challenge’ star Diem Brown, her shattered costars have taken to Twitter to remember the beloved beauty on June 12 — what would have been her 35th birthday.
After losing her third battle with cancer, Diem Brown, tragically passed away on November 14, 2014 — which was a devastating loss for her fans, but even more so for her costars of The Challenge. A favorite among the cast for her infectious spirit of optimism, the birthday girl has been remembered on social media by cast mates Jess McCain, Trey Weatherholtz, Paula Beckert — and more. Check out their touching messages!
The Challenge and The Real World alumni who were lucky enough to call Diem a friend, paid tribute to her legacy on her big day. In their sentimental posts, the reality TV vets not only voiced how much they missed Miss Brown — but urged their followers to contribute to Diem’s charity, MedGift (a foundation created to aid those who have been diagnosed with cancer or other chronic conditions). Aww!
Although Diem’s former love, CT Tamburello, has yet to speak out, take a look at what her other MTV buddies had to say about the late TV personality on her birthday:
“Today is @diembrown birthday and this is how I will remember her… taking every ounce of life to the extreme,” Paula captioned a pic of herself and Diem on Instagram. “Whether it’s a costume party, a dance party or no party, Diem celebrated with every breath. I miss my friend. But today is a day for smiles, hair whips and splits.” So. Sweet.

Diem’s final face-off with cancer was her most challenging. Diagnosed last summer, she had previously fought off the disease in 2006 and again in 2012. Her prognosis much more severe the third and final time, as the ovarian cancer had spread to her colon and stomach lining. Just weeks before she died, Diem maintained a positive attitude. “I’ll beat cancer again,” she told Us Weekly last fall. “I’m a warrior.” And a warrior she is still remembered as.
