Nia Guzman was NOT happy with Chris Brown for missing their daughter, Royalty’s, 1st birthday last month, and now, he’s suddenly feeling pretty regretful about it himself, has EXCLUSIVELY learned.

Chris Brown, 26, has been a pretty prominent figure in his daughter, Royalty’s, life over the last several months, but he missed one of her biggest milestones — her first birthday in May! The adorable little girl’s mama, Nia Guzman, got really angry at the singer for skipping out, and an insider tells that Chris is now starting to feel some guilt over it, too.

While Nia threw Royalty a party at Chuck E Cheese in Houston, Chris was in Miami, shooting a music video in Tyga, and Nia just couldn’t understand how he was able to put work before his daughter. Instead, Nia’s boyfriend, King Ba, was the man present by Royalty’s side. And now that a few weeks have passed, Chris has some regrets.

“Chris has been working hard, extremely hard, to patch things up with Nia ever since he missed Royalty’s birthday,” an insider tells EXCLUSIVELY. “If he had to go back in time, he would have canceled his work obligations and been there. He regrets that he wasn’t there for her first birthday, but promises he won’t miss another one.” Hey, at least he still gave her an adorable gift!

And that wasn’t all Chris and Nia disagreed on when it came to Royalty’s birthday bash! Nia was reportedly super frustrated that Chris didn’t pull out all the stops for a huge party at a zoo, and she was instead stuck with a day at Chuck. E. Cheese. Then, Chris allegedly tried to make up for it by offering to fly Royalty’s entire family to Disneyland, but Nia was so angry…she refused! Ouch.

Chris Brown Not Fighting To Move Royalty To L.A.

Originally, Chris was actually trying to persuade Nia to move to Los Angeles from Texas with Royalty, so he could see her more often, but, as has EXCLUSIVELY reported, that’s no longer the case.

“He’s coming to realize that’s probably not the best. Nia’s family is in Texas and her side of the family has been really instrumental in helping with Royalty, and Chris knows that’s important,” an insider told EXCLUSIVELY. “Besides, he’s about to go on tour and won’t be able to spend as much time as he’d like with Royalty.”

Hopefully Chris will still be able to keep up his schedule of seeing his daughter every other week. It’s clear that he’s really trying to dedicate himself to her…even if he is still getting into a little bit of trouble with his ex, Karrueche Tran, amid the whole ordeal. Sigh.
