Country singer Randy Rogers’ newborn baby has tragically passed away. Rumer Rain was only 6 days old at the time when she died as a result of a very rare brain condition. So awful.
Randy Rogers, 33, and his wife, Chelsea, welcomed their sweet daughter Rumer on June 3. Sadly, due to a very rare condition, she died 6 days later. The country singer spoke to a Texas radio station and stated that his baby girl fought very hard for a week before passing away.
Randy said in a statement to a Texas radio station 93Q in Houston, “She died in our arms and in no pain. She was absolutely beautiful in every way. Her brain however was very sick. She died after a week-long battle with a very rare condition. I’m sure you all have many questions and we have all the answers the doctors gave us.”
The statement went on to say, “We can share the story with you. It’s quite an extraordinary one. A memorial will be planned soon. We love you.”
Prior to this new statement, he took to Facebook to break the sad news to everyone on June 10.
“Rumer Rain Rogers, daughter of Randy and Chelsea Rogers, passed away last night at Seton Memorial Hospital in Austin, Texas. Rumer died of natural causes, in her parents loving arms, just days after her birth,” Randy wrote on his Facebook. “During this time of grieving, the family asks that individuals wishing to offer condolences make a donation to the children’s charity of their choosing. The family thanks you for your love and support.”
Little Rumer was Randy and Chelsea’s second child. The couple welcomed their daughter River in 2013. Randy and Chelsea married in Hawaii in March 2013.
Our thoughts and and prayers go out to the Rogers family and their friends during this very difficult time.
