Randy Rogers is mourning the loss of his newborn daughter, Rumer Rain, after she tragically passed away on June 9 at Seton Memorial Hospital in Austin, Texas. The Randy Rogers Band frontman’s wife, Chelsea, gave birth to Rumer on June 3.
“Rumer Rain Rogers, daughter of Randy and Chelsea Rogers, passed away last night at Seton Memorial Hospital in Austin, Texas. Rumer died of natural causes, in her parents loving arms, just days after her birth,” Randy wrote on his Facebook page on June 10. “During this time of grieving, the family asks that individuals wishing to offer condolences make a donation to the children’s charity of their choosing. The family thanks you for your love and support.”
The “Kiss Me in the Dark” singer also shared the sad news on his Twitter page, writing, “We are sad to say that Rumer Rain Rogers passed away last night. She was well loved, well cared for and in her parents loving arms.” Our hearts break for Randy and Chelsea, and we can’t even imagine the pain they are feeling. Rumer was Randy and Chelsea’s second child. The couple welcomed their daughter River in 2013. Randy and Chelsea married in Hawaii in March 2013.
Our thoughts and and prayers go out to the Rogers family during this incredibly difficult time.
