Lady Antebellum and Zedd each put on a fantastic show in their own right, but when the music powerhouses combined their talents at the 2015 CMT Awards in Nashville, it was true magic!
Lady Antebellum and Zedd merged their drastically different sounds in the coolest possible way during the CMT Music Awards at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, TN on June 10. The country group and EDM artist teamed up to perform a medley of Lady A’s ‘Long Stretch of Love’ and Zedd’s ‘Beautiful Now’ for a pop/EDM match made in heaven. It gives a whole new meaning to the term ‘country dance’!
What an amazing first performance of the evening! Flashing blue and green strobe lights set the mood as Lady Antebellum’s Hillary Scott, who wore Danielle Queller earrings, and Charles Kelley got the crowd pumped. They sang a fun mashup of two songs while Zedd accompanied them on his electric keyboard. Lady A and Zedd had the whole audience dancing, and a rainbow of confetti showered down on everyone at the end!
In an explosive mashup of their individual songs, both acts provided us with a crossover of genres that we’ll be sure to remember. It was the first time at an awards show that country and EDM came together, and we can’t get enough!
