Wow! Game 3 of the NBA Finals was one of the most intense matches between the Golden State Warriors and the Cleveland Cavaliers, but the Cavaliers came out on top, winning 96-91, taking them one step closer to becoming this year’s reigning team!

The battle to be the best basketball team in the nation is on! After going head to head on June 9 at Cleveland’s Quicken Loans Arena, the Cleveland Cavaliers beat the Golden State Warriors! Props to LeBron James and Co., who now have a leg up on winning this year’s NBA championship. Find out all the details from the intense match!

It was an exciting game that was a close call all the way through. Each team used all of their timeouts by the end, and Stephen Curry nearly caught his team up with an epic three-pointer in the final quarter. But after a number of fouls on the Cavaliers, to which LeBron dunked every basket he was given, they inched their way up to a 96-91 finish!

Right before this defining face-off, the Cavs came off of a 95-93 overtime win on June 7. Star player, LeBron, wowed the crowd with a triple-double, scoring 39 points that accompanied 16 rebounds and 11 assists in just 50 minutes. LeBron is now averaging 41.5 points, 12.0 rebounds and 8.5 assists in the first two games against the Warriors. Whoa! So it’s no surprise that the Cavaliers took the cake tonight!

Previously tied at 1-1, the  Cavs team are definitely trying to show the Warriors who’s boss — and that they are super serious about being kings of the NBA Finals. Will the Warriors be able to bounce back? We are eagerly awaiting what happens next! The Cavaliers and the Warriors will take each other on again June 11 at 6 p.m. Good luck, guys!
