New music from Miley Cyrus is on the way, and in her new interview with Paper magazine she revealed that she has some help from friends Mike Will Made It & her BFF, Wayne Coyne!
Miley Cyrus, 22, is really excited about her upcoming album, especially because she’s working on it almost entirely by herself. As she explained to Paper magazine, even her camp is nervous about her completely taking the reigns without the help of writers, producers, or anyone else. But, she’s confident that the record will be incredible thanks to her solo sessions in the studio, as well as some help from her pals, Mike Will Made It and The Flaming Lips‘ lead singer, Wayne Coyne.
If you’ve been waiting for a follow up to Miley’s 2013 Bangerz, you’re in luck — she’s working on recording new music all day, every day! Miley’s new album is not only coming straight from the heart, it’s also coming from the studio she built out of the garage in her Los Angeles home.
“I don’t have to have writers, I don’t have to have f–kin’ producers in there. Mike Will will text me a beat, and I’ll go in my studio and work on it by myself,” she explained, revealing an all-new process to recording her own studio album. But, Mike Will is not the only one of her friends joining her in some of the behind-the-scenes work. Miley also told the magazine that her best friend and inspiration, Wayne Coyne, is also collaborating on the new record with her.
As for the music inspiring her new sound? Well, of course it includes Wayne’s band, but Miley is also listening to rapper Gucci Mane and country music legend Waylon Jennings.
