Ay caramba indeed. After years of plotting his attack on Bart Simpson, ‘The Simpsons’ villain Sideshow Bob may finally know the taste of sweet, sweet vengeance.
For all of us fans of The Simpsons, we’ve watched the ongoing feud between Bart Simpson and Sideshow Bob (voiced by Kelsey Grammer) rage on for more than two decades. Each time the criminal mastermind attempts to take care of his skateboarding nemesis, though, Bart has managed to escape pretty much unscathed. However, according to producer Al Jean, Bart’s luck will finally run out during an episode this fall. We’ve got all the deets on his untimely demise!
At the ATX Festival in Austin, TX on June 6, Al revealed that Bob will finally get his murderous success on the upcoming season’s infamous Halloween episode. “I hated frustration comedy so we’ll scratch that itch,” he said.
However, Bob’s overdue triumph might not be all that it’s cracked up to be. “So Bob will finally somehow actually execute Bart — and then won’t know what to do with himself after his life’s mission has been accomplished.”
Well, it looks like Bart is in for a bit of a rough patch what with getting murdered and all, but not to worry. His altercation with Bob does not mean his actual end on the long running series. Because his death will take place on the show’s Halloween episode (which are notorious for breaking the normal format), his death will not actually extend to future episodes.
In other words, Bob can still eat Bart’s proverbial shorts. Sideshow Bob, whose real name is Robert Terwilliger, made his first appearance on the show way back in 1990 and has gone on to appear in dozens of episodes.
Are you sad that Bob is going murder Bart at long last?
