Yes, we’ve been waiting for this — Nick is back, and we’re extremely excited. However, not everyone was. It’s not surprising that the men are all pretty upset by the whole thing. But did Kaitlyn decide to keep him there?
Let’s first pick up right where we left off: Kaitlyn Bristowe pulling Clint aside and asking what the heck was going on in the house. He said all the right things to her, but she could see through it and sent him home within the first few minutes — but that wasn’t the toughest goodbye of the night on The Bachelorette.
So, when Kaitlyn was off talking to Clint, JJ, (his BFF) told all the guys that they’d still be best friends long after the show. However the moment Clint walked in and Kaitlyn announced he was out of the house, JJ spoke up to everyone saying that Clint needed to apologize. So the bromance was over, they got in each other’s faces, and it was far more dramatic that Clint’s goodbye with Kaitlyn. Clearly their relationship was important to them both because JJ fully broke down into tears afterward… and slapped himself across the face. All the men in the house already hated JJ, but once he threw his friend under the bus — “brokeback mountain became brokeback volcano, and it erupted.”
Rap Battle Introduces Nick
Kaitlyn decided against a rose ceremony after the Clint drama and brought the men to NYC, and we kicked off with a rap battle group date featuring Doug E. Fresh. The best parts were Corey asking JJ where his boyfriend Clint was, Shawn B. flashing his abs, and Justin throwing a Ryan Gosling diss — but if it’s about his similar looks, that’s still a compliment, right? Anyways, that diss may have won him the rose. However, the real battle came afterward — Kaitlyn went to see Ashley I. (yes, the Kim. K lookalike one from Chris Soules‘ season), and there with her was . . . Nick Viall.
“The idea that you could potentially get engaged and I wouldn’t have met you kinda bugged me, I figured, I would totally regret it if I didn’t try,” he told her. She informed the guys that she and Nick had talked “a handful of times” but had never met, then ran out to meet up with him . . . and they kissed within five minutes. She said had to “sleep on it” but it was obvious that she was going to keep him, but did have a little pep talk by crazy onion girl, Ashley S. before telling him he could join the show.
Jared Drops The L-Bomb
We also saw a kind of boring one-on-one date with Jared, but he had a sick poem in his pocket that won her heart (and her rose). Plus, he looked great in a tux, and they went on a helicopter ride around the city after dinner at the Met. He did say he could feel himself “falling in love with her!”
The final group date turned into a one-on-one since the guys had to audition to be in a Broadway production of Aladdin. The winner was Chris, and the rest were sent home so he and Kaitlyn went on stage for an actual production of Aladdin. Afterward, they went all the way to the ball in Times Square and made out — the usual.
The episode ended with Nick entering the hotel, so we know that next week, we’ll be seeing all of that go down and it looks juicy juicy juicy! We also got a quick while-the-credits-run update of Britt and Brady, who are happy and cute and she’s bringing him to meet her family. Well, looks like you can find love off the show! Who knew?
What did you think, HollywoodLifers? Did she make the right choice? Did he deserve a chance? Let us know!
