“AT LONG LAST WE MEET #drawyourswords #breaktheinternet,” Mae captioned the Instagram photo, with Lauren separating her on-screen daughters. In it, Mae has an angry look on her face, while Alexis looks off in the distance.
Of course, Lauren is a great on-screen mother to them both! She played Lorelai on Gilmore Girls from 2000 to 2007, then took on Sarah Braverman in Parenthood from 2010 to 2015. It was the perfect opportunity for them to reunite, as Mae is an ambassador for the ATX TV Festival and goes every year — and this year was of course, the Gilmore Girls reunion panel. And ok, we get it . . . you can’t chose between your daughters, but this is still incredible.
Lorelei’s Choice
For the record, Mae tweeted “Lorelei’s choice,” too but we know Lorelei would just be way too nice to make a choice like that. During the festival, Mae also took a seat at the Dawson’s Creek pilot script read, and read as the lead role Dawson and let’s just say, it was iconic and she could totally rock the part of the famous Leery.
