Now that Kim Kardashian is pregnant, it’s time for the reality star to focus on the next step — staying healthy throughout her pregnancy. The soon-to-be mother-of-two is taking preemptive measures to make sure she delivers a healthy baby again.
Kim Kardashian, 34, announced she was expecting her second child with Kanye West on May 31, and now she’s making sure she and her baby stay healthy. This includes substituting junk food for more healthier choices like a protein shake.
Her nutritionist has given her a weekly meal plan with strict rules. The new diet consists of less sodium and lots of water. She’s hoping to avoid the high-blood pressure disorder called preeclampsia that she reportedly had when she was prego with North West. Only 5-8% of pregnant women get it, but doctors say it’s likely to reoccur, according to TMZ. That’s scary!
Lets hope she can avoid the scary symptoms like swelling, headaches and changes in vision with this pregnancy!
Kim Substitutes Donuts For Protein Shakes
“This time around I have a nutritionist to keep me healthy while I’m pregnant,” Kim admitted to Us Weekly. “The last pregnancy, I ate a donut every single day, I’m not doing that this time. But I’ve also been taking it easy and enjoying myself.”
Well, she wasn’t able to enjoy a donut on one of the best days of the year — National Donut Day! The reality star jokingly complained to her 32 million Twitter followers on June 5, “Today is National Doughnut Day! Thought I would enjoy it more but morning/all day sickness really ruins things! LOL Maybe its for the best!”
