Yes, please! In honor of National Doughnut Day on June 5, HollywoodLife.com has all the details where you can go to grab your delicious and FREE treats. Trust us, there are quite a few places so don’t worry about missing out.
National Doughnut Day may be best known for handing out free doughnuts, but it first began in 1938 as a way for the Salvation Army to give back to the soldiers. The group handed out the tasty treats to all the homesick soldiers during World War 1. So there you go, your fun fact of the day! Now, it’s time to break down the spots where you can snag a free doughnut. Ready?
Krispy Kreme — Skip the gym, and head right to Krispy Kreme! Immediately when you walk in, you will be blessed with the delcious aroma of doughnuts. All you have to do is walk up and tell them which doughnut you want. No purchase is even necessary.
Winn Dixie — If you’re near a Winn Dixie grocery store, you are in luck. The supermarket announced on Twitter that they will be jumping on board for National Doughnut Day. “Tomorrow is National
#DonutDay! Stop by the Bakery 6/5 for a FREE POWDERED DONUT HOLE! (Lmt 1),” Winn Dixie tweeted.
Dunkin’ Doughnuts — DD has been providing the world doughnuts since the 1950’s. From a strawberry doughnut, to a vanilla glazed, there are many choices for the hungry doughnut goer. While you may not be able to just walk up and get a free one, you will receive one after you purchase a drink. They do have great iced coffee!
Honey Dew Donuts — After purchasing a medium drink, one will walk away with a free Mocha Madness doughnut. What is that you may be asking? Well, it’s a doughnut ring that is flavored with mocha frosting and drizzled with chocolate on top of it. Now that is a doughnut we wouldn’t mind munchin’ on.
Entenmann’s — While this may not particularly a place for a free doughnut, they are doing a Facebook sweepstake where you could win free doughnuts for an entire YEAR. It gets even better! With every new entry, $1 will be donated to the Salvation Army.
HollywoodLifers – if you could go to any of the 5 locations, which one would you prefer? Let us know your thoughts!
