So sad! After a year of being legally separated, Matt and Amy Roloff — the stars of ‘Little People, Big World’ — have decided to divorce.
Little People, Big World first premiered back in March 2006, and after 8 seasons the main couple, Amy and Matt Roloff, have filed for divorce. Sadly, their split is not that much of a surprise because in March 2014 the estranged couple revealed they would be separating from each other. Unfortunately for the couple and their family, Amy and Matt were not able to find a resolution to their marital issues.
“After 27 years of marriage, it is with great sadness that we have come to the difficult decision to file for divorce,” the former couple revealed in a joint statement given to PEOPLE on June 5. After almost three decades together, Amy and Matt have four wonderful children together — twins Jeremy and Zack, 25, Molly, 21, and Jacob, 18.
“We are proud of what we have accomplished together, including raising four wonderful children who have grown to become remarkable adults and building our strong and ongoing successful businesses,” the statement continued, showing the world that Matt and Amy are still putting their family first despite their split.
The Roloff family starred in 8 seasons of Little People, Big World, which revolved around their family — including their 3 children who were also diagnosed with dwarfism. For now, there is no word on whether or not the show will continue now that Amy and Matt have decided to end their marriage for good.
