This news might upset you: It has been ten years since ‘High School Musical’ first premiered on the Disney Channel. We caught up with ‘HSM’ star Ashley Tisdale and she revealed to us EXCLUSIVELY whether something is planned for the ten-year milestone!
They’re still all in this together! Ten years after its 2005 release, the stars of High School Musical remain close as ever! In fact, when we chatted EXCLUSIVELY with Ashley Tisdale, she revealed to us just how frequently she keeps in touch with Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens and the rest of those talented (and gorgeous) cast members. Plus, she also clued us in as to what’s in the works for the anniversary, and whether we can expect a reunion any time soon!
We asked Ashley if she’s heard of anything in the works for the tenth anniversary. “I haven’t,” she admitted, before adding of the upcoming milestone, “that’s so crazy.” Of course, we loosely suggested that something should go down to mark the momentous event! “That’s interesting,” she said. “I don’t know about in the works for you guys, but maybe we should get together.”
Okay, well if we can’t all enjoy a reunion, we agree that you guys totally should! However, just because no official reunion is in the works as of now, that doesn’t mean that the cast isn’t still in touch. In fact, Ashley admitted that she wants to get her former costars on her new TBS series, Clipped!
“I would like to get one of my costars on the show from High School Musical,” she told us. “That would be so much fun. I would love to do something like that…I think that any of them would be down. It’s their schedules that are so insane. We almost tried to get Zac, but he is literally back to back with movies and not in town. And Vanessa’s not in town. But hopefully, if we get a second season, we’ll be able to do more cameos like that!”
We could not agree more! Ashley’s new series, Clipped, premieres on TBS on June 16.
Would you want to see a High School Musical reunion?
