Woah! Casey Anthony has maintained a low profile since she was acquitted for murdering her daughter, Caylee. But a new report claims she’s ready to give the first interview since her 2011 trial!
Well, look who’s back. We haven’t heard anything about Casey Anthony, 29, for years. After being acquitted for the murder of her 2-year old daughter, Caylee, Casey seemed to drop off the face of the earth. That’s about to change, as a new report says Casey is ready to finally talk and give her first interview since she was found Not Guilty!
Casey has already met with NBC about a TV deal, reports Page Six of the New York Post. Casey was reportedly flown into New York with veteran Florida news producer Don Wood. She also reportedly spoke with Matt Zimmerman, the head booker at NBC.
Nothing solid was locked down, the report claims, but sources told Page Six that Casey is looking for a big-bucks deal. If this happens, Casey would answer questions for the first time since her high profile trial.
Huh. We haven’t seen Casey in a while. Her last major public appearance was in March 2013, when she was forced to face her creditors at a federal bankruptcy hearing in Tampa, Florida. Casey was pretty broke, and her lawyer, Charles Greene, said that at the time, she had “multiple opportunities to do tell-all books, to do tell-all interviews” but turned them down. Sounds like she has changed her mind.
Casey was accused of killing her daughter but was found not guilty in 2011. The verdict shocked the nation, because many thought she was guilty. However, the prosecution didn’t have anything specific that tied her to the crime. With no evidence that she did it, Casey was set free.
Supposedly, Casey gave her “first interview” to Piers Morgan in 2012. In truth, Casey didn’t appear on Piers’s show. He only read quotes from his phone conversation with her while he interviewed her attorney, J. Chaney Mason. If Casey and NBC make a deal, it truly will be her first interview.
What do you think, HollywoodLifers? Would you be interested in hearing what Casey has to say?
