After a pretty rough year and a handful of new arrests, Nicholas Brendon has entered rehab for the third time since 2004. This time, Nick checked in for depression, his ongoing alcoholism, and substance abuse issues.

Nicholas Brendon, 44, is best known for his role on Buffy The Vampire Slayer, but now his reputation for bad behavior seems to trump what he’s accomplished in his acting career. Thankfully, Nick has a great team behind him, and on June 1 his manager confirmed that the actor and frequent comic-con guest has finally entered back into a treatment center to work on his issues.

“Earlier today, with the support of his professional team, his friends, and his family, Nicky entered a rehabilitation facility in California to treat his depression, alcoholism, and substance abuse problems,” Nick’s manager, Andrea Albin, wrote on his official Facebook page on Monday evening, June 1. “He’s taking the steps necessary to better his health and give himself, and his fans, the gift of a healthy lifestyle.”

This announcement came just two weeks after Nicholas was arrested for the fourth time in 7 months, where he was allegedly picked up for public intoxication in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Thankfully, it appears as if his latest brush with the law was enough of a wake up call for both Nick and his friends and family.

In the meantime, Andrea’s statement also revealed that Nicholas would not be attending any events for the months of June and July while he works on his rehabilitation. However, she also assured fans that the actor would be back on the road to see them at different events towards the end of the summer.

“Nicky will not be attending any events during the months of June and July- but has plans to return to the circuit in late summer after he has successfully completed his treatment program,” the statement read.

Our thoughts go out to Nicholas and his friends and family at this difficult time. Best of luck on your road to recovery, Nicholas!
