Don’t you wish your High School graduation ceremony was this cool? The senior class at Hawaii’s Kahuku High School performed a mind-blowing dance in a viral video that you have to see to believe!
All other graduation ceremonies — you have been put on notice! The Kahuku High School just raised the bar in an epic viral video of their 2015 graduation ceremony. The Hawaiian school’s seniors performed an incredible dance routine, moving in perfect unison to a medley of hit songs!
These students graduated in style! The video, posted on May 29, made our jaws drop. These students busted out some awesome choreography. What’s even more amazing – these talented students reportedly learned the whole routine in just two days!
They first start to sway and sing Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth‘s “See You Again,” with their own custom lyrics! However, before it gets too sad, the class gets up and gets old school to some Jackson 5.
The Kahuku seniors had some sweet moves to “ABC,” but they stepped it up when they decided to “Shake It Off” to Taylor Swift‘s big hit. They continued to top themselves – just wait until “Wrecking Ball” kicks in. Miley Cyrus would be proud! The class added some “Uptown Funk” before nailing the nae nae. Get down!
The class ended it all with a performance of a haka, a traditional dance from the Maori people of New Zealand. The dance was created by a Maori cultural specialist, whose son is a student, reports Buzzfeed. Lisiate Tovo, one of the graduating students, told Buzzfeed that the school usually does a haka before a football or rugby game in Hawaii and that the graduation dance is a tradition at the school. Let’s hope it becomes a tradition at every high school!
The only thing that could have made that video better? Beyonce. If they couldn’t get Beyonce, they could try and get Maya Rudolph, who killed it with her Bey performance while speaking at Tulane University’s graduation ceremony on May 16. Maya brought out her Beyonce impression for an impressive – and patriotic – rendition of the National anthem.
What do you think about the Kahuku graduation video, HollywoodLifers?
