Please, be more charming, Channing Tatum! The ‘Magic Mike XXL’ star decided to surprise fans with a little prank at a screening of his new movie. He showed up and displayed some of his signature moves– only the audience didn’t exactly know it was him!
Channing Tatum continues to be a perfect human. His new film, Magic Mike XXL, the followup to the smash hit male stripper film, Magic Mike, will hit theaters on July 1, which means fans are getting stoked. Well, one lucky group of fans got the luckiest surprise ever when they showed up for a screening and focus group for the new movie, only to realize that the odd-looking marketing executive questioning them was actually Channing himself! Watch the hilarious video now!
No big deal right? To make sure those in attendance have a good time, Channing decides to go undercover. He suits up, wearing prosthetics to make him look truly unrecognizable. “My name’s Scott Housley, I work for Harley Marketing,” Channing says with a southern drawl. He completes the looks with some thinning hair and an unflattering beard, and prepares to work his magic.
Finally, we get to the good stuff. Sitting down with some of the audience members, Channing asks a series of hilarious questions. “Which would you say was the best actor out of all of them?” Channing asks. “Matthew McConaughey,” one woman responds, very matter of fact.
Then, Channing asks which parts of the movie audiences would most want to see in 3D. “The part where there’s pelvic thrusting,” one young woman says. “Well, hopefully some full frontal nudity for once,” a guy responds. “Okay,” Channing says nodding his head, scribbling down some “notes.”
Making the video even better, it was all for a great cause. Channing is partnering with charity fundraising platform Omaze, to support the Runa Foundation. Good looks and a big heart? Can’t beat that!
