‘The Descendants’: The Disney Villains Use Their Kids For Evil — New Trailer

In Disney Channel’s highly anticipated original movie, ‘The Descendants,’ we’re going to meet a whole new generation of villains! All of the terrifying bad guys we’ve grown up with have spawned offspring of their own– and they’re using those kids for their evil motives!

Who woulda thought that Cruella de Vil decided to procreate? Well she did, and in The Descendants, which will premiere on the Disney Channel on July 31, we get to know all of the villains’ children and– guess what?– they’ve got quite the rambunctious streak themselves! Watch this just released trailer to see exactly how all these trouble-makers are making their parents totally proud!

“The children of our sworn enemies, living among us,” the outgoing king of Auradon says, after his son has told him that his first order of business as king will be to allow children of the Isle of the Lost to migrate over. It doesn’t exactly land smoothly.

From there, we learn exactly which evil being’s descendants will be making the big jump. “Cruella de Vil, Jafar, Evil Queen and Maleficent,” the soon-to-be-king says. What could possibly go wrong with that, right?

Maleficent (Kristin Chenoweth) herself is tasked with unenviable assignment of telling her daughter, Mal (Dove Cameron) and the other kids that they will be heading off to Auradon– and she’s got specific instructions for them. “Go find the fairy godmother, and bring me back her magic wand,” she demands. “I will be able to bend both good and evil to my will!”

“Our will,” the Evil Queen (Kathy Najimy) corrects her. “Our will, our will,” she agrees.

Of cours, once the kids do arrive at their new school, their parents’ reputations have preceded them. “Your Maleficent’s daughter aren’t you?” one of Mal’s new peers asks. “I totally do not blame you for your mother trying to kill my parents and stuff,” she says. Sure ya don’t!

What do you think of The Descendants trailer? Are you excited for the movie?
