Caitlyn Jenner is finally here! Her new name is beautiful, but everyone is dying to know why she chose to use a ‘C’ and not  a ‘K’ to match the rest of her fam. has EXCLUSIVELY learned the answer — find out!

Bruce Jenner, 65, has been waiting his whole life to reveal “her” to the world and choosing the perfect name was an important decision — has EXCLUSIVELY learned when Caitlyn Jenner picked her new name, why she chose it and the reason behind its spelling!

“Bruce has loved the name Caitlyn since forever. When he wanted to transition in the 80s for the first time, this is the name he felt he was set on. He’s thought of other possible names over the years after he stopped transitioning, but this was the one he’s had in his head since forever,” an insider explained to EXCLUSIVELY.

“Everyone is going to wonder why he didn’t spell it with a ‘K,’ but the name Caitlyn was a thing for Bruce before he even met Kris Jenner and her family. He also thought spelling it with a ‘K’ would come off really cheesy,” they went on to say.

“Another thing that is a bit awkward is that Brody Jenner’s girlfriend is named Kaitlynn. Brody and Bruce did discuss the name and how it would be a little weird that their names would be the same — even if they were spelled differently,” the source told us.

“Brody was gently pushing Bruce to go with something else, but eventually Bruce just explained the situation, how he has always loved the name, and never imagined that his son would date a girl with the name he always wanted. He also has joked with Brody that Kaitlynn might not be in his life forever, but Caitlyn will. Brody is now cool with the name Caitlyn and doesn’t care. He just wants Caitlyn to be happy,” the insider said.

We couldn’t be more happy for Caitlyn and we think her new name is beautiful, just like her! HollywoodLifers, do you like Caitlyn’s new name? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
