Yikes! Enrique Iglesias grabbed a drone (yes, really) during his Tijuana concert on May 30 and sliced his fingers open! Despite blood gushing from his hand, he continued performing. Click to see the pics. WARNING: These photos are graphic.
What happens in Tijuana doesn’t stay in Tijuana! During his May 30 Mexico concert at Plaza de Toros de Playas, Enrique Iglesias, 40, grabbed a drone, and the machine sliced his fingers wide open. He got his fingers temporarily bandaged and continued performing for 30 minutes! While he was still on stage, there’s no way you couldn’t just stare at his bleeding hands and bloodied shirt. We love you, Enrique, but this is so gross!
This was the last thing anyone ever expected to see at Enrique’s Mexico concert. While performing, he got ahold of drone, which is used to get crowd shots. He wanted to give the audience a point-of-view show, but “something went wrong and he had an accident,” his rep told the Associated Press in a statement. Accident is a bit of a understatement.
He sliced two of his fingers open! He was quickly treated at the side of the stage to stop the bleeding. He was told to stop the show, but he stayed on stage — still bleeding — for 30 more minutes! Fans who don’t like looking at blood we’re probably not too happy to see Enrique on stage with his bandaged fingers covered in blood and his white shirt basically colored red by blood.
“He was rushed to the airport where an ambulance met him there. He was then put on a plane to L.A. to see a specialist,” the statement continued.
Enrique Iglesias Wins Big At Billboard Latin Music Awards
Enrique recently took home NINE awards at the Billboard Latin Music Awards on April 30, including Latin pop album of the year and Latin pop song of the year. The only other artist to nab more awards was Romeo Santos, 33.
The singer is currently showcasing just how amazing his latest album is on his Sex & Love world tour. His next concert is on July 3 in Mexico City. Let’s hope his fingers are completely healed by then!
HollywoodLifers, do you think Enrique should have quit performing after his injury? Let us know!
