Uh-oh! Ian Somerhalder and his fans butted heads when he refused to take pictures with them during a trip to France. Was he was being sweet in telling them no — or should he have just taken a few photos?
Ian Somerhalder, 36, just wants a little privacy, guys! Leaving a Paris hotel with his wife Nikki Reed, 27, on May 28, the Vampire Diaries star was greeted by a group of fans who were so excited to see him, asking the actor to take pics with them. Well, Mr. Somerhalder wasn’t having it and tried his best to tell his admirers he just wasn’t in the mood to pose for pics, nor be followed by them for the rest of the day. Whoa! Was he being harsh?
Before his fans could even utter one word, Ian immediately began a mini-lecture. “No, no, no. Hey, listen. Just stop. Everybody, listen. I love you guys. I’m not taking a single photo today. It’s my day. Don’t follow us, please. I love you guys. You’re so good to us. You’re so awesome,” the newlywed explained, as seen in a now-deleted video from Twitter user @VEGANSHADE20. As you can see from the initial tweet, this former Ian fan threw some serious shade, calling him “Zac Efron” and a “dick.” Ouch!

After Ian said his piece, a girl to his left interjected, begging him: “Just one. One, please.” The 36-year-old still refuses, reiterating what he said before, “It’s not just one.” The girl started to shake, so Ian did his best to comfort her – but still wouldn’t take a selfie!
“I’m right here,” he said, touching her shoulder. And that’s when the waterworks began to flow! The CW hunk obviously wasn’t expecting such an emotional reaction, so he walked away in frustration, asking the group of kids once more: “But you guys, don’t follow us please. I love you guys. Do not follow us, okay? It’s too much, it’s too much.”
And it did become a bit too much — because Miss Tears came even closer to Ian, pleading with him one more time, “Just one please, just one please.” Ian literally couldn’t even — and fled the scene with Nikki!
HollywoodLifers — what do YOU think about Ian’s interaction with his fans? Was he nice when he told fans he didn’t want to take photos, or was he being rude by saying no? Let us know!
