Is Fredrik ready to put his real estate career behind him in lieu of fatherhood? In this EXCLUSIVE sneak peek for the new episode of ‘Million Dollar Listing: New York,’ Manhattan’s top realtor has to make the toughest decision!

When it comes to Manhattan real estate, Million Dollar Listing‘s Fredrik Eklund is known as number one, top dog, cream of the crop. However, that might all be changing. In this EXCLUSIVE sneak peek at the May 27 episode, Fredrik and his husband, Derek Kaplan, travel all the way to Sweden to break the news to Fredrik’s family that they are finally ready to begin a family– but, as Fredrik’s father explains to him, that might mean some sacrifices on the career front. Check out the sneak peek right now!

Fredrik Breaks The News To His Family

Fredrik is ready to step down from the top spot in real estate– but only slightly!

In this EXCLUSIVE clip, we go with Fredrik and Derek to Stockholm so that Fredrik can reveal to his father, brother and sister-in-law in person that he and Derek are finally planning to have children. “My family is everything to me,” Fredrik says in a cutaway. “I think about them every single, solitary day.”

With that–glass of wine in hand!– Fredrik and Derek are ready to share their big news. “We have something really exciting to tell you,” Fredrik says.

Fredrik Reevaluates His Workload

Of course, Fredrik’s family is absolutely thrilled that he and Derek are ready to become parents, but that doesn’t stop Fredrik’s father, Klas, from getting a bit serious. “Your target so far has been to become the number one real estate broker in New York,” Klas says.

“Check,” Fredrik responds in typically hilarious Fredrik fashion.

“Now your next target is to become the number one father… So really think through how much your workload is,” Klas says.

With that, Fredrik takes a moment to get introspective. “I’d be happy being number two or number three…” he says. “Number two,” he adds, correcting himself. Exactly, let’s not get ahead of ourselves here, Fredrik!

What do you think of the clip? Do you think Fredrik will sacrifice his career slightly for fatherhood? Tune in tonight at 10PM ET!
