This is too incredible for words. For Jenny Lewis’ new music video, she recruited a few heavy-hitters to recreate some of her most famous scenes from her wide-spanning acting career. Watch the hilarious vid now!

Jenny Lewis is known these days for her musical chops, but she actually got her start as an actor. Back in the 80s, Jenny appeared in a ton of shows and movies ranging from Golden Girls to Beverly Hills Troop. For Jenny’s latest music video for her single, “She’s Not Me,” she had the help of Fred Armisen, Zosia Mamet and Vanessa Bayer to recreate some of her most memorable scenes, and the result is just unreal. Trust us, you need to watch it immediately.

Jenny Lewis & Fred Armisen Spoof ‘The Golden Girls’

In a clever homage to her childhood acting roots, the video begins with Jenny getting her mugshot taken (as sadly tends to happen to so many childhood stars). Jenny is then thrown behind bars.

The first allusion is to Jenny’s 1987 stint on Golden Girls, during which she played a “sunshine scout.” The spoof is called Gilden Girls and– yup!– Zosia, Vanessa and Fred take on the roles of Dorothy, Rose and Sophia, respectively.

Jenny Recreates ‘Beverly Hills Troop’

We then move onto the 1989 classic comedy, Beverly Hills Troop. All three Gilden Girls transition into their troop gear, and they are also joined by Leo Fitzpatrick who shows up to perfectly serenade the camera– to obviously hilarious effect.

Then, just to make the video that much more epic, Feist drops by, dressed as a priest. Obviously, she and Jenny recreate scenes from Hellville. Last but not least, Jenny and Fred remake just the poster for the Fred Savage classic, The Wizard.

Who knew Jenny had done so much acting? And talk about a creative way to revisit her work!

What do you think of the music video?
