Whoa — talk about playing through the pain! Stephen Curry took a scary fall and slammed his head on the basketball court during the Golden State Warriors’ playoff game on May 25…but he eventually returned to finish playing! Watch it here.
Ouch! Stephen Curry, 27, took a nasty spill during a playoff game on May 25, banging his head on the basketball court after flying in the air over an opposing player. Yet, somehow, he came back to the court to finish out the game!
Stephen Curry Hits Head In Scary Fall & Returns To Basketball Game
Midway through the second quarter of Game 4 of the Golden State Warriors and Houston Rockets’ series, things went seriously wrong when Stephen attempted to block an opponent’s shot.
After jumping in the air, the NBA star actually rolled over Rockets player Trevor Ariza’s back, flying to the floor and hitting the back of his head hard once he landed. He looked to be in some pretty intense pain, and remained lying on the ground for a few moments, before eventually being led back to the locker room.
But after getting the go-ahead, Stephen came back to help the Warriors finish out the game! He returned to the court halfway through the third quarter.
Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough, and the Warriors lost the game 128-115. They lead the series 3-1.
Stephen has been making headlines for his skills on the court throughout this year’s playoff run, but on May 19, he was the talk of the NBA for another reason — his adorable 2-year-old daughter!
While doing a post-game interview, Stephen’s little girl, Riley, snuck on stage to sit in her daddy’s lap…and she was the absolute cutest. She even told him to “Be quiet!” when she thought he was getting a bit too loud.
Unfortunately, some reporters at the press conference got a little annoyed at the distraction. But she’s so adorable!!
HollywoodLifers, do you think Stephen should have returned to the game, or sat the rest of that one out?
