‘Teen Mom OG’ Recap: Maci & Taylor Buy A House
With the baby on the way, Maci and Taylor decide it’s the perfect time to invest in a bigger house. The pair spend some time with a relator, but it doesn’t take long for them to decide on a gorgeous three bedroom home. Everything starts to come together once the realtor calls to tell them they got it. They decide to move in ASAP so that Maci can be situated before she goes into labor with their daughter.
Taylor also starts to realize that it’s time he starts looking for an engagement ring. He goes to a jeweler and begins to price different rings. Near the end of the episode, he tells her he has something, her eyes light up and he leans over to grab something out of the drawer. The cameras zoom in, but Taylor jokingly pulls out a beer. At least he’s one step closer.
Catelynn & Tyler Spend A Weekend Away From Nova
Both Catelynn & Tyler have a TV commitment in LA, so they decide to leave Nova with Catelynn’s mom for the first time. They both agree that her mom has changed so much since they were younger and now things have gotten so much better. They bring Nova over to April, who is more than happy to watch the baby, and head out to California.
While in Cali, they discuss the upcoming reunion show and wonder if they will see Carly there. Once Teresa calls, she informs them that she will be there, but sadly, Carly won’t because it is too much trouble to travel with all the kids. Catelynn and Tyler are upset, but completely understand. They also think it will still be great having Teresa see April so they all can sit down and talk together, mom to mom.
Amber Decides She Wants Joint Custody
Amber and Matt decide to spent a night together in a hotel, but Leah winds up getting sick. When Gary calls her to ask if she can pick up Leah earlier from school and keep her for the night, he gets frustrated because he thinks Amber is bothered by it. Amber has no issue with getting Leah and taking her to the hotel to stay with her and Matt. She’s already on edge, because she feels Gary keeps Leah from her to spite her.
While Amber has Leah, she starts to feel better so Amber decides she doesn’t need to bring her to the doctor. After she drops her off, Gary gets angry that she didn’t listen and didn’t take her to the doctor. He feels like she doesn’t understand what goes into taking care of Leah everyday. He thinks she needs to take a parenting class. Gary tells Heather the producer, “It would be so much easier if she was gone.” Wow.
Amber has Matt meet her mother and her brother for the first time. Her family really thinks she is moving too fast with him and she should really rethink how quickly they’ve escalated their relationship. Amber becomes defensive and tells them that she’s happy and they should support her. It’s clear her head is make up and Matt isn’t going anywhere.
Farrah’s Boyfriend Meets Sophia
Now that Farrah and Simon have been dating for a few months, she thinks it’s finally time he met her daughter Sophia. She takes Sophia to the airport to pick him up and right away things seem like they aren’t going to go as smoothly as she wants. As soon as Simon gets in the car, Sophia starts to act up. You can tell that he doesn’t have much of a tolerance for kids, while Sophia yanks on his seatbelt and kicks his seat. At one point Sophia says to Farrah, “Are you sure you want to get married?” Clearly, that isn’t the best way to start off their time together.
When Simon meets Farrah’s dad, it goes okay, nothing major happens. But Farrah continues to force Sophia on Simon and makes him sit next to her at dinner. When they finally have alone time, Farrah brings up the issue about their future. Simon admits he doesn’t know how to answer, and jokes that she would have to wait around two years for marriage. This doesn’t sit well with Farrah and she states she won’t wait that long.
The day Simon needs to fly back home, Farrah forces him to sit in the backseat with Sophia. He doesn’t seem very comfortable with the idea and Farrah continues to force him to be close with her. She pushes Sophia’s head on his lap and tries to wrap his arm around her daughter. He gets mad at says, “Why are you forcing her, let her relax. Let her just chill.”
After saying their goodbyes, its clear Farrah isn’t happy with how it all went and when she goes to call Simon later on, he doesn’t answer. Who knows what will happen, we will just have to wait until next season!
