It seems like only yesterday he was walking away from One Direction. Now, Zayn has been locked in the studio working on his solo career. But his loved ones are concerned by his ‘incessant’ work schedule, HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY reveals.
Take a break, man! Zayn Malik, 22, is holed up in the studio once again, working on his solo career, and desperate to prove the doubters wrong. However, friends and family fear that his drive to succeed after his 1D exit could prove to be his undoing, HollywoodLife.com has EXCLUSIVELY learned.
Zayn Malik Solo Album: He’s Pushing Too Hard After 1D
Fans of the boyband will recall that Zayn, who was embroiled in two cheating scandals at the time, walked out of One Direction’s world tour – claiming that the stress of being famous was too much too bear. However, since leaving the group on March 25 he has been working hard on new material.
“Since leaving One Direction, Zayn has been working incessantly on his solo career, holing up in a west London studio for hours upon end,” an insider tells HollywoodLife.com. “You have to admire his drive and determination with his efforts in trying to go it alone, and any minute he has spare he’s there.”
But it’s his ambition that’s got those close to him worried. “His family and friends are a little concerned that he’s pushing himself too hard,” the insider continued. “After all, his mental collapse and stress was work-related, and he was advised to take a much-longer break. They’ve told him not to work so hard, but he wants to strike while the iron’s still hot and deliver his fans new material.”
Liam Payne: Zayn Quit One Direction For Perrie Edwards, He Reveals
As HollywoodLife.com previously reported, Zayn’s former bandmate Liam Payne, 21, dug the knife into the troubled singer during a radio interview with UK radio station Capital FM’s Breakfast Show on May 20.
Liam questioned whether Zayn quit for stress-related issues, spilling that “he wanted to spend more with his missus,” who is Little Mix singer Perrie Edwards. That’s gonna hurt!
Liam went on to say, “We’re just going to carry on doing what we’re doing. We wish him [Zayn] all the best with whatever he goes into and stuff. We’ll just have to see what happen.”
What d’you think HollywoodLifers? Should Zayn take a longer break from music instead of working so hard?
