Can you believe that it’s been 12 years since ‘Dawson’s Creek’ ended? Ever since then, we’ve been holding out hope for a reunion, but Katie Holmes pretty much killed those dreams during a recent interview.
Katie Holmes, 36, may be known for a number of leading roles, but one that will always stand out in our minds is her time playing Joey Potter on Dawson’s Creek. In a recent interview, Katie opened up about the possibility of the cast finally coming back together to film that long-awaited reunion that so many fans are dying to see.
‘Dawson’s Creek’ Reunion Happening? — Katie Holmes Doesn’t Want One: Here’s Why
“I don’t know, does it work today? I don’t want them to grow up, you know it is kind of like your parents, they never get out of their 50’s, that is where they are,” Katie revealed in a recent interview.
Yikes! While her response doesn’t sound too promising, all we can do is keep that hope alive! Even earlier this year, the topic came up at a red carpet event in February, and even then, Katie was unsure how a reunion would work. With so much time gone by, it sure would be different.
“And I don’t know because when we did our finale, it was set five years later, so we kind of did that,” Katie told Us Weekly. “And Michelle [Williams’] character passed away in the last episode, so… Yeah, you never know. Get Jimmy Fallon on the phone, pronto!”
While we anxiously wait for this reunion, lets also take a minute to applaud Katie’s transformation. From her days on Dawson’s Creek to the beauty she radiates today, she has evolved into one of Hollywood’s best dressed ladies.
During her recent interview with Yahoo Style, she also discussed what it was like working on the show during the 90’s.
“We just did it, we all enjoyed it,” Katie said. “It was of a certain time, it was pre-internet… There was an innocence there.”
