If there’s anyone who could take on Harrison Ford‘s role as Indiana Jones, it’d be Chris Pratt. However, he’s not so sure that he — or anyone for that matter, would want to fill such huge boots! In a new interview, the 35-year-old actor wouldn’t reveal if the rumors were true or not, but did reveal that he didn’t think fans would like it!
Chris Pratt As ‘Indiana Jones?’ — Reveals He’s Pretty Nervous In New Interview
“You have to look at it and be like, ‘Is this right for me?'” Chris said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly. “Is it right for me to do this? And is it perfect? You don’t want to be the guy who f–s that up.”
He also added that he’s surprised people are even happy about the rumor! “It’s pretty crazy that people hear that and they don’t go ‘What?!? That f—ing dude!’ What has happened in my life that you can see THAT?!”
No Chris, we just thought, “Yes, please please please make that happen!”
Could He Play Alongside Harrison Ford?
Plus, HollywoodLife.com told you before that Harrison would love to work on the movie with Chris. “If they do it and go the direction of Chris, Harrison would like to pass the torch and make the movie with him instead of without him. He would want it to be a thing where he is in the Sean Connery role and Chris would be the son, or Chris would be a flashback to younger Indiana adventures.”
Indiana Jones was of course made by Steven Spielberg, who Chris has been working with on Jurassic World. Chris revealed that he saw Steven before and after the rumors and they just avoided the topic. “I just didn’t bring it up and he didn’t bring it up, so I don’t know,” he told GQ.
