Has the end come for the hit show, 19 Kids & Counting? TLC has pulled the Duggar family’s reality show from their lineup and for good reason. ’19 Kids & Counting’: TLC Cancels Show Amidst Josh Duggar Alleged Molestation Claim
HollywoodLife.com previously reported that TLC ran a 19 Kids & Counting marathon on May 21 and received tons of backlash from people. Now, TMZ is reporting that the network has yanked all airings of the show from its lineup. BIG move!
A bombshell report claimed Josh Duggar was involved in multiple heinous acts. He reportedly molested 5 little girls when he was approximately 14 years old — although he was never convicted. He wound up responding to the allegations on May 21. Read his statement here.
Petition To Cancel ’19 Kids’ Has Almost 200,000 Signatures
This isn’t the first time the show was on the verge of getting cancelled. In 2014, an online petition was created on Change.org, which urged TLC to cancel the Duggar’s reality show. The petition was created in order to “end LGBTQ fear mongering by the Duggars” after the family was accused of being anti-gay and quickly made headlines. Within a matter of days the support for the petition skyrocketed, and has received almost 200,000 signatures to date.
“The Duggars have been using their fame to promote discrimination, hate, and fear-mongering against gays and transgendered people,” a letter on the website reads. “You need to take a stand on the side of justice and cancel their show.”
