‘The Bachelorette’ is officially back– and it’s bigger than ever. With the men themselves choosing between two women as to whom will be their Bachelorette, a whole new set of controversies has been ushered in.
If you have an issue with the guys choosing between two women on The Bachelorette, Chris Harrison doesn’t really care. Following some uproar over the arguably degrading tactic just to decide which lady will get to hang around the show to find love, the longtime host of the soulmate-matching series explained why he actually loves that people are upset. You’ve got to hear his comments!
‘The Bachelorette’: Chris Harrison Defends Format
Ahead of the premiere on May 18, Chris sat down with HuffPostLive and set the record straight. “I love that some people are upset about it, because we’ve hit a chord with the people who are upset,” he said. “It’s probably an issue you have with yourself or with other women.”
Well, there’s certainly a lot to unpack in that statement, isn’t there?
Britt VS. Kaitlyn
Regardless of whether you’re on board with the format, on the season premiere, we got to know Britt Nillson, 27, and Kaitlyn Bristowe, 29. Both women made a very strong case for why they should be the one to get to search for love this season, however, only one can be chosen.
We’ll find out which gal will be The Bachelorette on part two of the season premiere on May 19.
What do you think of Chris’s comments, HollywoodLifers? Do you agree that those who are upset about The Bachelorette‘s format this season are projecting their own issues?
