On the very first night of competition, when Rumer walked away with the highest score of the night, we knew she was in it to win it. And now, before the finale of the 20th season of ‘DWTS,’ I’m explaining why she deserves the Mirror Ball Trophy.
The 20th season of Dancing With The Stars has been arguably the best ever, with amazing talent and fierce competitors. I believe Rumer Willis and her partner Val Chmerkovskiy deserve to take the top spot tonight, May 19, during the finale.
Rumer Willis Should Win ‘DWTS’ — Season 20 Of ‘Dancing With The Stars’
On the May 18 episode, Val and Rumer repeated a favorite dance from earlier in the season in an effort to get a higher score. They did their premiere dance, which was a Foxtrot. In week one, it earned them a 32, and in week 10, they got a perfect score of 40. If that doesn’t prove that she’s worthy of the trophy, I don’t know what does.
“You may come from Hollywood royalty, but now you are, in your own merit, dancing royalty,” judge Bruno Tonioli said after their dance. “That was pure poetry in motion. That was incredible,” Carrie Ann Inaba said. Julianne Hough said it was flawless.
Her dad Bruce Willis, the super tough action star, was shown in the audience in tears. TEARS! I mean, come on!
Her dancing has inspired millions of girls who have been bullied, like she has been in the past.
It’s brought her divorced family back together — mom Demi Moore and dad Bruce Willis were often seen cheering her on together. Her sisters’ support each episode was heartwarming. It’s also allowed her to shine on her own — instead of being “Demi’s daughter.”
Her dancing has improved leaps and bounds, but throughout the season, we have seen the personal journey she has taken, and she has grown in so many ways.
Her confidence has skyrocketed and her passion in every dance was palpable.
As much as I think Rumer deserves to win, it’s truly anybody’s game. The competition is fierce. Sharna Burgess and Noah Galloway have been so innovative throughout the season. Their performances always leave me in tears. As the judges have said in the past, their movements transcend dance.
Allison Holker and Riker Lynch have also pushed the envelope with innovative, fun and imaginative choreography. Riker’s showmanship is truly spectacular.
What do you think? Our Editor in Chief Bonnie Fuller is also rooting for Rumer to win!
