Maroon 5 Crushes ‘This Summer’s Gonna Hurt’ On ‘The Voice’ Finale

Tue, May 19, 2015 10:01pm EDT by Add first Comment

Maroon 5 has still got it! On the season finale of ‘The Voice,’ the band showed up to totally crush a performance– and they basically showed everyone exactly why they’ve been heating up the charts for more than a decade!

Slay, Maroon 5. Slay. On the May 19 finale of The Voice, the band returned to the NBC stage one again to absolutely destroy their song, “This Summer’s Gonna Hurt,” and they definitely showed those kids how it’s done. Oh, and it was only practical that the guys perform on the show’s season 8 finale, as frontman Adam Levine is also a judge on the singing competition! Talk about a perfect match!

Maroon 5’s Performance On ‘The Voice’ Season Finale

Welcome back to The Voice, Maroon 5.

Well, welcome back to the band’s members that aren’t Adam Levine, anyway! Adam, of course, didn’t have to travel too far, as he’s been a judge on the show for all eight seasons!

Still though, it never gets old seeing him take the stage as a performer, especially on his own stomping grounds!

Adam and his band totally brought the funk with their new summer anthem! While they rocked out, the screen behind them lit up with bright 1980’s images, full of neon and classic coolness. For a moment, we were transported to a Miami beach for an all night party! Thank you, Maroon 5!

Adam Levine Bounces Back

Speaking of Adam, it’s actually quite the feat that he even managed to get up on that stage, considering what happened during one of his recent public appearances.

If you don’t recall the traumatic event we’re referring to, allow for a refresher: While outside the studio for Jimmy Kimmel Live, the sexy singer was being the gracious superstar that he is and was signing autographs for fans.

Suddenly, out of seemingly nowhere, one crazed fan thought it would be a good idea to sugar bomb Adam! Yup, Adam took a big ol’ bag of sugar right to his face and–because the year is 2015– there is of course video of it.

To his credit, Adam didn’t even really react and to him we say, wayta keep it professional.

What did you think of Maroon 5’s performance, guys?
