Taylor and Katy — it’s time to stop and bury your hatchet. You’re both such strong, smart, talented women. Why don’t you let Taylor’s ‘Bad Blood’ video be the last move in your feud?
Katy Perry & Taylor Swift’s Feud: ‘Bad Blood’ Needs To Stop
Selena, 22, as Arsyn, in a dark bob haircut wig with bangs was unmistakably your Katy, 30, nemesis in the action-packed video. And in the end, of course, you , Taylor, emerged victorious.
The Katy Perry wig was actually a less subtle clue than Katy gave when she had her backup dancers at the Super Bowl wear red polkadot bikinis, just like your own vintage bikini, Taylor. But then the song “Bad Blood” is all about your feud with a former friend — and that would be Katy. So it’s not surprising that your video, Taylor, would be pretty, pretty obvious.
Taylor, 25, your feud allegedly began when three of your backup dancers, who you considered essential to your Red tour, were lured away and hired by Katy in Sep. 2014. In Katy’s defense, she allegedly had worked regularly with these dancers before and she felt that you, Taylor had done the initial stealing.
It’s complicated. Clearly, very complicated.
You, Katy, were making it obvious to Taylor at the Super Bowl that you were dissing her, by dressing your backup dancers in the bikinis. Got it, everyone?
Taylor Swift Uses ‘Bad Blood’ Video To Highlight Feud With Katy Perry
In any case, you, Taylor, were furious at Katy for her Super Bowl diss, sources close to you revealed to HollywoodLife.com at the time, and vowed revenge, an insider reported to us. Now, it certainly looks like you enlisted Selena to get your Katy digs in.
We’re hearing at HollywoodLife.com that Katy got the message loud and clear. Katy “saw it, she thought the video was a little desperate and that [Taylor] tried too hard,” a source close to you, Katy, told HollywoodLife.com exclusively. “She felt slighted with the song, but the video didn’t really bother her.” Or, at least, that’s what Katy’s saying.
We at HollywoodLife.com certainly hope that Katy wasn’t terribly bothered and is so busy with her big, successful world tour, currently in Australia, that she’s ready to move on from the latest skirmish. If so, that would be a fantastic idea.
And Taylor, now that you have produced this epic video, we hope that you can move on, too.
There are too few strong, positive role models for young women, to have two of the most impressive on the planet, publicly taking potshots at each other. You two both have multi millions of followers on your social media and 99.9% of what you do exemplifies exactly what young women should do. That is, be ambitious, hardworking, caring about others, loving to friends and family, supportive of girlfriends, creative, stylish and charitable.
You are both flawless in all those regards, except when it comes to each other.
Taylor Swift & Katy Perry: Kiss & Make Up!
So think about it, ladies — can you give this feud a rest and maybe even become friends again one day? Young women could really benefit from an example of two women working out their differences, and working together.
In this still man-dominated world, women can use all the sisterly support they can get.
Do you agree, HollywoodLifers? Let me know.
