Listen up ‘iCarly’ fans, because this might be the most exciting news you’ll hear all day (or ever)! Yep, you guessed it, the show’s star Miranda Cosgrove is hinting at a possible reunion. Ah-mazing!
Almost three years after iCarly ended its seven-season run, “Carly” herself, Miranda Cosgrove, 22, is speaking out about the chance of the cast coming back together for a reunion — and we couldn’t be more excited! While Miranda gears up to star on the new NBC series Crowded, she reveals she’s totally up for working with her Nickelodeon co-stars again. The main reason? They’re all still BFFs! See what she had to say!
‘iCarly’ Reunion: Miranda Cosgrove Says It Would ‘Be Fun’
While promoting her new gig on Crowded, Miranda was questioned about her thoughts on an iCarly reunion. The 22-year-old says it could definitely happen, considering how close she and her cast have remained over the years. Aww!
“That would be fun,” Miranda told MTV News at the NBC Upfront presentation on May 11 in NYC. “I mean, I love the cast of the show. I see them all the time. Jennette [McCurdy] is like, one of my best friends. And I see Jerry [Trainor] all the time, so I think that would be really fun.”
Really fun?! More like a dream come true! But wait — remember how Carly moved to Italy on the series finale? Well, Miss Cosgrove says she would definitely have her character and the iCarly gang make the move back to their stomping grounds of Seattle in the potential reunion series.
“At the end of the show she moves to Italy, so I’d like her to come back to Seattle and get back to the way things used to be,” Miranda added. Overseas or in Washington, it doesn’t matter to us; we just want a production date on this project!
While Miranda is definitely down for an iCarly reunion, it might not happen for a while. Back in January, the California native revealed she’d like to update fans in 10-15 years. Wait, what? That’s way too long!
“It would be fun to do some day,” Miranda told J-14. “I think all of us are kind of hoping that in 10 to 15 years, after the events of the last episode we figure out where everybody went— because everybody kinda got split up by the end of the show.”
