A-ha, so that explains why she was so late! A new report claims that Beyonce decided to change Met Ball gowns once she was already in her car and on her way there. Talk about last minute!
Beyonce, 33, definitely saved the best for last at the 2015 Met Ball, but not everyone was happy that she decided to arrive so late. Thankfully, a new report seems to have an explanation for her tardy red carpet appearance as it claims that she decided to change gowns at the very, very last minute. Eek!
Beyonce’s Met Ball Gown: Her Last Minute Change Made Her Late
Hey, we’ve all been there, haven’t we? Sometimes you leave the house in the outfit you thought you wanted to wear, but once you’re outside you realize, “Nope. This isn’t the one.”
Apparently, Beyonce “saw what everyone was wearing” while scrolling through Instagram in the car on her way to the Met Ball on Monday, May 4. That’s when she decided she had to turn back and change into a “back up” dress, reports Us Weekly.
“[Beyonce] made her driver turn around and go home so she could change,” the source continues in the report. Beyonce might be flawless, but she’s also just like us!
Queen Bey Also Changed Her Hair At The Last Minute
Interestingly enough, it wasn’t only her gown that got changed at the very last minute. The report also claims that she had her hairstylist, Neal Farinah, change her ‘do!
“We were in the elevator on the way down, and she looks at me and says, ‘Neal, I want to change my hair,'” he told the magazine, although he did not address or confirm whether or not the claims about her changing her gown were true.
“With Beyonce, she’ll say, ‘This isn’t right, let’s change it,'” he continued. “We didn’t have a mirror, just the reflection of the elevator door!”
Wow! Beyonce must really trust Neal if she let him re-do her hair in an elevator without any mirrors! Lucky for both of them, she looked absolutely stunning with her hair up in that gorgeous high ponytail.
