Wow. A shocking new report claims that George Zimmerman, the man acquitted of the murder of Trayvon Martin, was shot during a terrifying road rage incident on Monday, May 11.
George Zimmerman, 31, is allegedly suffering from minor wounds after another driver fired shots at him on the road in his hometown of Lake Mary, Fla. Not only did the other driver allegedly target George in the incident, but his attorney claims that the suspect is someone George has had a previous run-in with in the past.
George Zimmerman Shot In The Face — New Report
He is no stranger to controversy, and now he is back in the headlines for another truly shocking incident. This time, George is the victim.
George was allegedly shot at by another driver on Monday afternoon, May 11, and is now being treated for “minor wounds,” reports TMZ. The report claims that local news footage shows a bullet hole in George’s front passenger side window, although other reports claim he was shot at directly through the drivers side.
Don West, George’s attorney, claims that his client was not actually struck by the bullet and that instead, his wounds stem from the glass of his truck window shattering. However, George’s attorney did state that the shooter allegedly drove alongside his truck before shooting directly into the vehicle. How scary.
Although George allegedly knew the shooter and may have had a run-in with him in the past, the shooting is currently being classified as a “road rage” incident.
