And the star power in Taylor Swift’s ‘Bad Blood’ video just keeps growing! On May 8, the singer confirmed that Zendaya will star in the music vid by sharing a FIERCE poster of the Disney star in character.
We already figured out that Zendaya, 18, would be making an appearance in Taylor Swift’s, 25, new music video for “Bad Blood” when photos of the ladies together on-set surfaced on April 12 — but now Taylor’s confirmed the news herself! The singer took to Instagram to share a chilling teaser poster for the highly-anticipated video, which features Zendaya as her totally fierce character.

According to the poster, Zendaya will portray the character ‘Cut-Throat,’ and if this is any indication, she’s going to look amazing!
Showing off her amazing body in a tight black crop top with cut-outs, the Disney star intensely gazes at the camera while holding a sharp knife to her chin. Paired with dark lips, dramatic winged eyeliner and a slicked back hairstyle, Zendaya definitely looks ready to BRING it.
So far, Taylor has also unveiled the poster for her character, Catastrophe, sporting a tight leather ensemble, side swept bangs, and dark makeup, as well as Adriana Lima’s “Frostbyte,” who wears the same dark lipstick, but with a cozy-looking, hooded, white fur jacket.
The video won’t premiere until May 17 at the Billboard Music Awards on ABC, so we have some time for Taylor to reveal some more posters (a bunch of her friends are expected to be in the video).
“Bad Blood” is the fourth single off Taylor’s hit album 1989. She previously revealed that the song isn’t about an ex-boyfriend, but rather, a friendship with a fellow female artist that turned sour.
While “Bad Blood” may not be about an ex, there’s definitely some songs about 1989 that have to do with love and breakups. In fact, Taylor herself recently admitted that the record’s final track, “Clean,” is about how she moved on after splitting from Harry Styles, 21, in 2013.
The 25-year-old actually wrote the song after a trip to England, where Harry’s from, she tells Elle.
“It hit me that I’d been in the same city as him for two weeks and I hadn’t thought about it…you know how it is when you’re going through heartbreak,” she admitted. “You get used to not calling someone at night to tell them how your day was…and then all of a sudden you’re in London and you realize you’ve been in the same place as your ex for two weeks and you’re fine. And you hope he’s fine. The first thought that came to my mind was, ‘I’m finally clean.'”
Okay, HollywoodLifers, tell us — are you excited to see Taylor’s “Bad Blood” video?! What do you think of Zendaya’s look?
