Woah! Though we had every reason to believe The King had died on ‘The Royals,’ a sneak peek at the new episode kinda has us thinking otherwise. Watch the clip now!
On the May 10 episode of The Royals, Liam (William Mosely) is seriously struggling. Following the devastating stabbing of King Simon (Vincent Regan), Liam then learned that he might not even be the king’s biological son, claims which his mother, Queen Helena (Elizabeth Hurley), didn’t exactly deny. So to cope, Liam does the only rational thing he can do: gets stinking drunk and sings karaoke. However, his drunken wailing is cut short by a shocking visitor– check out the intense clip now!
‘The Royals’: Is The King Alive?
It certainly looks that way in this sneak peek for the new episode of The Royals. In the clip, following that shocking blow that Liam’s father might not be the man he’s grown up with, we see Liam drowning his sorrows in alcohol.
In a move that is both devastating and a little funny, Liam sings, “I Just Can’t Wait to be King,” an ironic choice as he was just about to be sworn in as king before the daddy drama revelations.
Is Liam Hallucinating?
Liam gets through the whole sad performance– which, by the way, is taking place in broad daylight– before he is met with a single round of applause. Who is the person commending that performance? Well, it’s none other than the King!
“I love that song,” he says to Liam who, obviously, is stunned with disbelief.
While it would be somewhat easy to jump to the conclusion that Simon is actually alive, let’s not get ahead of ourselves. Liam is, clearly, very intoxicated and in deep emotional distress, so there’s surely a chance that Simon is appearing as a figment of his imagination, right?
What do you think, HollywoodLifers? Is Simon alive or is Liam hallucinating?
