Yup, you read that right! A real life reunion of ‘A League of Their Own’ has taken place– and we’ve got the heart wrenchingly adorable pics to prove it!
Admit it: you still freaking adore A League of Their Own. Don’t worry, we do too, which is why this is basically the best thing to ever happen. On May 7, at Arvest Park in Springdale, Arkansas there was a completely epic reunion of the 1992 film’s original stars, Rosie O’Donnell and Geena Davis. The women were on hand to celebrate Geena’s Bentonville Film Festival– and they were even joined by the two women on whom their characters in the movie were based! Too cute for words!

Sisters Gina Casey and Alice Fracasso, on whom the classic baseball flick was based, founded the All American Girls Professional Baseball League way back in 1943. All these years later, both women showed up to the Film Festival to celebrate the movie, and fans were treated to a super special moment: appearances by the women’s onscreen counterparts!
Better still, all the women participated in a softball game because, I mean, necessary. All four also adorably posed together, basically making our hearts explode with cuteness, before a screening of the film (which also starred Madonna, remember) was screened for those in attendance.
While the event was obviously full of fun and games, it wasn’t all fun and games.
Of the Bentonville Film Festival, Geena said that it “exists to champion women and diversity and what better way to showcase this than to welcome two amazing women who were part of something remarkable that broke barriers and ushered in new opportunities for women in this country? Their continued pursuits to keep the stories alive and to keep women playing baseball (and all sports) are an inspiration for me personally, and for the ongoing BFF initiative.”
Were you happy to see A League of Their Own reunion?
