Uh-Oh. Somebody got caught cheating! The NFL finally released their report on the ‘Deflate-Gate’ scandal involving Tom Brady and the New England Patriots — and what they found wasn’t good, sports fans!
Today is a dark day in Beantown. The NFL finally released a report on the “Deflate-Gate” scandal that took place during the New England Patriots and Indianapolis Colts. Boston fans – and anyone who likes Patriot’s Quarterback Tom Brady, 37 — better hold onto their hats because they won’t like what the NFL found out!
Tom Brady & Deflate-Gate: Patriots Quarterback Knew About Deflated Balls
The number one rule of cheating: Never get caught.
Unfortunately, the New England Patriots got slammed in the May 6 report released by the NFL, reports USA Today. In the report, investigator Theodore Wells outlined his findings, stating that it was not only likely that the Patriots organization cheated, but that star quarterback Tom Brady was well aware of what was going on!
Theodore wrote that “it is more probably than not” that two Patriots employees intentionally deflated the balls in the game. The two – Jim McNally and John Jastremski – didn’t do this on their own, as the report said that Tom Brady was at least “generally aware of [their] inappropriate activities!”
It’s not just speculation, sports fans. The report relayed text message conversations between Jim and John that clearly showed them planning to get a “needle” to deflate some of the game balls in exchange for money and gifts!
An excerpt of their texts:
John: I have a big needle for u this week
Jim: Better be surrounded by cash and newkicks…or it’s a rugby sunday
WOW. This is huge! Thankfully, the report says that no one else in the Patriots’ organization was behind or aware of what was going on. What does this mean for Tom and the Patriots 2015 Super Bowl win?
Deflate-Gate: A Recap
It all started on Jan.19, when the Patriots defeated the Colts in the AFC Championship game. Shortly after the Pats’ victory, news broke out that the balls in the game were severely under deflated, making them easier to throw and catch. The New England Patriots and Tom Brady denied any involvement.
The Pats tried to explain how the balls deflated, causing such experts as Bill Nye The Science Guy to call them out on their nonsense. Saturday Night Live even mocked them in a biting sketch! However, as the Deflate-Gate questions remained unanswered , most fans wondered if this would cause the Pats to be disqualified from the Super Bowl.
The Pats were allowed to play and they would eventually win, beating the Seattle Seahawks, 28-24. Meanwhile, the NFL said it would conduct its own investigation into the Deflate-Gate, eventually producing the damning report that said that the Patriots most likely cheated.
WOW. What do you think about Tom Brady knowing what was going down in Deflate-Gate, HollywoodLifers?
