Parents have really started to get creative when it comes to removing their children’s teeth — I guess you can thank social media for that. Bryan Clay is a retired Olympic decathlon champion and he brushed up on his skills using his daughter’s loose tooth. Warning, it’s not for the faint of heart.

It’s a gross, yet creative way to remove a tooth! Former Olympian star, Bryan Clay, 35, decided to play dentist to his daughter Ellie‘s tooth and extract it himself. First, it wasn’t a normal tooth pulling (if there is such a thing) and second, he had the entire ordeal videotaped.

Father Pulls His Daughter’s Tooth Out With Javelin — Watch

We repeat, it’s gross, although you can’t help but watch this father ( a former gold medalist) use a javelin to extract his little girl’s tooth from her mouth. Clay took to Twitter to post the video and captioned the tweet, “What you use javelins for once you’re retired.” We don’t know if all retired Olympic athletes do this, but we love his creativity.

The short clip starts out with us seeing Clay holding a javelin with a long string attached to its end. As for the other end, it’s wrapped tightly around his daughter’s wiggly tooth. Another voice, possibly her mom’s, asks Ellie to say goodbye to her beloved tooth. “Bye,” she sweetly replies. We can’t help but notice how adorable this girl is in her purple headband, matching star t-shirt and teal pants.

Bryan then tells her, chin up and gives a quick countdown before he sends the javelin soaring through the air, taking the loose tooth with it. It was a perfect throw, no wonder he’s an Olympian!

The Tooth Was Recovered

For those of you who were worried the little girl didn’t get paid for her pain, Bryan cleared that up on Twitter.
